Dweezil Zappa…

Dweezil digs DVK dirt and fuzz!

“The Silvertop and the Goldtop both had subtlety where it was needed but lots of definition as well. I liked the different voicings of the distortion/fuzz elements.”

- Dweezil Zappa

Stuart “Chet” Fraser, respected and long time Noiseworks and John Farnham guitarist, dropped in to the DVK dungeon today to say g’day to Burgs and the crew. Stuart was way impressed with the Goldtop and Hairball and took a couple of the same home with him to record and tour with. This was unusual (and flattering) because Stuart has not changed his pedal board’s overdrive section for years, so it was a pleasant surprise for him and us as to just how much he dug our boxes o’ fun.

Stuart is going to collaborate with DVK on a project that we think you’ll find VERY useful; one that will hopefully see the light of day in Q1, 2012. Thanks Chet! Enjoy.

New pedal coming soon, folks!

It’s something that we’ve been searching for a while. So we figured we’d just build it ourselves and share it with the world.

Hint: Two flavors of dirt not usually seen together on one pedal.

Showcasing at NAMM in January.

More soon…

Artists say what?

  • “They can be transparent but they have the power to add character as well.” - Dweezil Zappa
  • “…Great design work. Really easy to dial in useful musical tones!” - Dweezil Zappa

Reviewers Low Down

  • "Oh man, that sounds GOOD!" - Bobby D
  • "I like the sound of this compressor… kind of reminds of the old MXR Dynacomp. It's not like one of those compressors that's really obnoxiously squashing the heck out of your signal. It's a bit more subtle than of a compressor and I like that." - Bobby D
